Evolutionary Intelligence: Special Issue on Alan Turing
In 1948 Alan Turing wrote a short paper entitled "Intelligent Machinery" in which he drew an analogy between learning and search. Significantly, he suggested that intellectual, genetical and cultural searches may all be used to inspire mechanisms by which to achieve machine intelligence. 2012 sees the centenary of Turing's birth and to join in the celebrations of his remarkable contributions to computer science and artificial intelligence, Evolutionary Intelligence will publish a special issue in January of that year. Submissions are welcomed which use simulated evolution in conjunction with other ideas of Turing's, such as his unorganised machines, to achieve artificial intelligence.
